KAPTAI NATIONAL PARK




 
Kaptai National Park: This forest reserve is located in the Karnafuly and Kaptai range. According to the government statistics some 50,000 people visits the national park every year as it provides some walking trails among the lush green forest. The animal species of Kaptai National park are deer, elephants, monkeys, fishing cats and birds.

 The Kaptai Forest Rest house, Kaptai Mukh Forest Rest House and several picnic spots are located here. * Wild Life: Elephant, Deer, Monkey, Jungle Cat
* Region: Located in Rangamati Hill District over Karnaphuly and Kaptai Ranges under Chittagong Hill Tracts (South) Forest Division. The park is adjacent to Kaptai Bazar in the north-eastern corner of the Kaptai Upazila, Rangamati District.
* Best Time to Visit: 01-November to 31-March
* Accommodation: You will see 2 rest houses in the park (The Kaptai Forest Rest house and Kaptai Mukh Forest Rest House).
You also see Parjatan’s Jhum Restaurant & Other restaurants that are offering affordable meals

How to go : The Kaptai national park  is relatively easy to reach: visitors can travel to Chittagong by way of rail, air or road and from there can make the short trip to the park via road. So make sure you include this great spot in your Bangladesh travel plans!
